National Days of Anti-Nuclear Action
Greetings All —
For the first time in years, organizations from around the US are coordinating a national day of action to protest against the abuses of nuclear power.
The “tolerance” for what has happened at Fukushima by the people entrusted with protecting the health and safety of the public and the environment, and their willingness to continue the failed nuclear experiment no matter the cost the the Planet is no longer tolerable. It is time to take concerted, coordinated action against this energy source and its backers. And the time to begin this is — NOW.
While the main event will take place in New York City on Saturday, October 1, NEIS is conducting TWO actions, Friday and Saturday of this week. We hope you will be able to come to one or both:
Friday, Sept. 30, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Meet at State of Illinois Bldg. plaza, Chicago for lunchtime leafleting and march
Saturday, Oct. 1, 1-4 p.m., movie/talk
A documentary about radioactive wastes — like you’ve never seen or thought about before.
DePaul Univ. Levan room 506, 2322 N. Kenmore, Lincoln Park Campus, free, open to the public
